sVo Showdown 130

The Victory Cup reaches quarter final stage whilst Blood Money take on the sVo Champion & sVo Tag Team Champions in the main event!

sVo Sunday Night Showdown 130
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada
29th May 2022

The entrance video package for Sunday Night Showdown begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Showdown’ by Pendulum as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Sunday Night Showdown’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena. The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

Backstage
Not Tonight

There are boos from the fans watching the action on the giant screen, as the scene cuts to the parking lot with Hugo Ryzing making his entrance here at Showdown, a bag slung over his shoulder. The hooded Ryzing sneers with confidence as he strides up to the entrance to the Goodfellas Casino Arena, but he is soon stopped in his tracks by two large security guards.

Security Guard #1: “Sorry Mr Ryzing…. My Page has said you are not to be permitted into the arena under any circumstances tonight.”

Ryzing looks across at both security guards in disbelief, sizing them both up.

Hugo Ryzing: “Are you for real?”

Security Guard #1: “I am afraid so Mr Ryzing….”

Hugo Ryzing: “Afraid so Mr Ryzing….”

Ryzing mimics the guard whilst continuing to size them both up.

Hugo Ryzing: “Suppose I don’t give a fuck what Page says and decide to come in anyway? You two going to stop me?”

Both of the guards look at each other, both looking a little concerned. Ryzing spots the glances and laughs.

Hugo Ryzing: “Don’t soil yourselves. I wouldn’t give Page the satisfaction!”

Ryzing laughs again and turns and makes his way away from the Goodfellas Casino Arena.

Victory Cup Quarter Final Match
Absolute Zero vs. Curtis Knight

Ringside
Proving A Point

The referee raises the arm of Curtis Knight in the air in victory after his big win over Absolute Zero to become the first person to progress to the semi finals of the Victory Cup. The fans cheer Knight on as Absolute Zero begins to limp up to his feet and make his way out of the ring. However, Curtis Knight has other ideas as he pushes the referee aside and grabs hold of Absolute Zero from behind, before yanking him down to the mat by his hair!

The crowd give a mixed reaction as Knight stomps away on Absolute Zero on the mat, before pushing the referee away as he tries to intervene! Knight eventually pulls the limp Absolute Zero back to his feet, before locking in the Dragon Sleeper in the middle of the ring!

Knight keeps the hold locked in despite the former Roulette Champion being limp, until security rushes down the ring to separate the two men as Showdown heads to a commercial break!

Victory Cup Quarter Final Match
Johnny Moretti vs. Hiro Ryuu

Backstage
Dominant

As Johnny Moretti celebrates his victory in the middle of the ring, the cameras head backstage to the locker room of Blood Money where his team mates are watching the action on a monitor and celebrating along with the former sVo Champion.

Anthony Moretti: “That’s what I am talking about! That is why Blood Money is heading back to the top of the sVo!”

Moretti, Barone and Gambino high five each other.

Junior Gambino: “That’s not all, we are gonna teach those goombahs a lesson later in the main event!”

Barone silently nods in agreement.

Anthony Moretti: “Time to take those belts off of Vorheez and his lackies. Let’s show them what we are all about tonight boys.”

The scene fades out with Blood Money in confident mood, but can they overhaul the sVo Champion & the sVo Tag Team Champions?

Victory Cup Quarter Final Match
Alissia Young vs. CJ Dreamer

Backstage
Human Highlight Reel

The camera heads backstage to the interview area where Katie Smith is standing by with Kenneth D Williams, the current #1 contender for the sVo Championship!

Katie Smith: “Kenneth, thanks for joining me here tonight. The fans are eager to hear just when you will be taking your shot at William Vorheez now that you are #1 contender?”

Kenneth D Williams: “Not only the fans Katie, I am eager to here when Vorheez is going to show me the respect I deserve and start taking this challenge seriously. Ever since I went to see Page weeks ago to get my shot, it has been radio silence from the Champ!”

Williams shakes his head in anger.

Kenneth D Williams: “I am the human highlight reel and Vorheez better start taking me seriously and forget all about Blood Money….. before I take that sVo Championship from him!”

There is a cheer from the fans watching from ringside, as the scene fades out.

Six Man Tag Team Match
William Vorheez & the Black Brothers vs. Blood Money

Ringside
Making a Mark

The fans cheer loudly as William Vorheez and the Black Brothers celebrate the victory in the middle of the ring, whilst Blood Money regroups on the outside and back up the entrance ramp looking sorry for themselves.

The referee presents Vorheez and the Black Brothers with their gold, but as he does the fans rise to their feet as a hooded figure hops over the security barrier with a steel chair in hand! The hooded figure is obviously Kenneth D Williams, the current #1 contender for the sVo Championship!

Williams rolls into the ring behind the back of the Champions, before smashing Vorheez in the back of the head with the steel chair! Vorheez drops down to the mat, but before the Black Brothers can even realise what has happened, Williams hops back out of the ring and over the security barrier into the crowd!

The Black Brothers chase Williams through the crowd as William Vorheez slowly gets to his feet, holding the back of his head in pain. The camera focuses in on the sVo Champion as the scene fades out, with Vorheez knowing that his #1 contender has made a mark!
