Just like the opening of Showdown #119 two weeks ago, ‘Viva Las Vegas’ by Metal Elvis hits the sound system and the crowd boo loudly as the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign appears on the giant screen with the words ‘Blood Money’ spray painted over it. Pyros shoot up from both sides of the entrance ramp, and after a few seconds the man himself, Johnny ‘All-Star’ Moretti steps out onto the top of the entrance ramp and holds the big gold sVo Championship belt in the air!

All-Star makes his way through the pyros down towards the ring. All-Star salutes to the fans that boo him with a pair of middle fingers, as he climbs into the ring and jumps to the second rope of the nearest turnbuckle. All-Star throws his arms in the air and gets even more boos from his hometown fans as the music begins to fade out.

With the sVo Champion in the ring, Moretti grabs a microphone from Natasha Ortiz and holds the sVo Championship in the air as the fans boo loudly.

Johnny Moretti: “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome once again to another episode of anything Cody Williams can do, I can do better!”

More loud boos from the crowd, mixed in with a few ‘Cody, Cody’ chants.

Johnny Moretti: “Now whilst Cody Williams defend his title against people he knew he could beat, I have handpicked the most challenging opponents to cement my legacy as the greatest to ever hold this title! Now without further ado, let me present my challenger for this evening….. Greg STANLEEEEEYYYYYYY!”

Top Woman

The cameras head backstage from the commercial break, where Alissia Young of the Canadian Connection is standing by in the interview area, along with Katie Smith who has a microphone in hand. Both ladies stand in front of the ‘sVo’ branded background ready for their cue for the interview to get started.

Katie Smith: “Alissia Young, thanks for joining me here tonight. Now your partners Scott Cole and Jake Hughes face what might be the toughest title defend of their reign in the main event tonight as they defend the Tag Team Championships against the Black Brothers. How are you feeling about the chances of walking out with the belts tonight?”

They have beaten everyone that have stepped to them so far, and the Black Brothers will be no different in tonight’s main event!”

The crowd cheer for the Philly Flash as he flashes a smile to the camera whilst Smith kicks the interview off.

Katie Smith: “Jacob, thanks for joining me! Now you are only moments away from a match against Money Malone to determine the #1 contender for the Las Vegas Championship. How do you rate your chances tonight?”

Jacob Izaz: “Well as you well know, I took Malone on at Vendetta last year and dominated the match before being screwed by a terrible referring decision. Tonight, I right that wrong and get my third attempt at a fair one on one match for the Las Vegas Championship…. What is that saying about third time lucky?”

Katie Smith: “Well it is sure to be a great match, but do you think there is much chance of Blood Money getting involved tonight?”

Izaz smiles at the question.

Jacob Izaz: “There is always that chance but believe me when I say I am prepared for any eventuality tonight. I will win this match, I guarantee it!”

Katie Smith: “Well you are certainly confident and I wish you will in the match, but just before we let you go, what are your thoughts on El Froggo refusing to shake your hand last week after your match on Uprising? Is he still upset that you said he didn’t deserve the Las Vegas title shot a few weeks ago?”

Izaz shrugs his shoulders.

Jacob Izaz: “I guess that is a question you will have to ask that little Mexican punk. All I can say is that it was a bitch move in my view and proved me right!”

Izaz nods his head to signal that the interview is over, as the scene fades out.

Back to the Drawing Board

The cameras head backstage where a dejected CJ Dreamer is already showered and dressed and looks like he is leaving the arena with his case. As Dreamer walks through the corridor, Katie Smith quickly rushes after the former Tag Team Champion.

Katie Smith: “CJ, CJ. Could I get your view on your match earlier before you leave?”

Dreamer doesn’t slow down as Katie Smith tries to catch up with him.

CJ Dreamer: “My view? I’m pretty pissed off with myself if I am honest Katie…. I came back to the sVo when it reopened in 2020 and thought I would be in the main event and sVo Champion by now considering what I have done in this business between 2013 and now. But ever since Seasons Beatings 2020 and coming up short in that triple threat match when Moretti won the title, I have never got close to getting to that level again…. Even my home town crowd wanted to boo my opponent more than me tonight…..”

Katie Smith: “Any comments for those fans?”

CJ Dreamer: “I feel like I should be man, but I honestly can’t blame them…. I need to go back and see what made me successful in 2013… Back to the drawing board Katie…. I can’t go on like this.”

Dreamer pushes through the arena doors and leaves Smith behind as the scene fades out.

“World of Shit” by Nailbomb plays as the lights in the arena go out. Fog and white lights drench the entrance area as Igor & Boris Black make their way out towards the ring. The boos ring out for the giant pair, as they remain Fixated on the ring whilst making their way quickly to the squared circle, ready to fight!

‘Welcome To Toronto’ by K Money hits the sound system, and there are loud boos from the crowd as onto the top of the entrance ramp steps Scott Cole, Jake Hughes & Alissia Young of the Canadian Connection! Young signals to the crowd, before slowly walking down the entrance ramp bopping her head to the music, as she is flanked by the greatest tag team to ever come out of Canada. Young rolls into the ring under the bottom rope before climbing to the second rope and staring out at the crowd with her arms folded, as Cole & Hughes jump up onto the ring apron and pose for the booing fans.

The referee holds the sVo Tag Team Championship belts in the air to signal that they will be on the line in tonight’s main event match! There is a big cheer from the crowd at the anticipated match finally happening, as the referee hands the belts to the outside of the ring before calling for the bell as Scott Cole and Igor Black get the match started for the champions and the challengers!

Scott Cole quickly runs at the big man and lays into him with some rights and lefts, clearly not intending on adding to their only loss so far in their sVo careers despite being up against the undefeated challengers! However Igor absorbs the punches before fighting back with a big headbutt to send Cole down. Boris Black climbs over the top rope and into the ring, and lands a big upper cut on Scott Cole as he tries to get to his feet.
