sVo Sunday Night Showdown #117
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada
12th December 2021
The entrance video package for Sunday Night Showdown begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Showdown’ by Pendulum as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Sunday Night Showdown’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena. The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!
The scene opens up backstage where we see Johnny All Star walking down the hallway before slowing down. He stops in front of a door that reads: “Jon Page’s Office”. He takes a moment to fix the knot on his tie and then opens the door.
Johnny All Star: “You wanted to see…”
He stops in his tracks and takes a survey of the room. In front of him is Jon Page sitting behind a desk and Cody Williams sat in front of it.
Johnny All Star: “What is going on here? Are you two conspiring against me?”
Jon Page: “Johnny, that’s not what this is.. Please sit down.”
Johnny All Star: “Or are you still trying to duck me?”
“The Hollywood Rockstar” stands up and gets nose to nose with All Star as they stare holes into each other’s eyes.
Cody Williams: “I’m not ducking anyone… And after the stunt you pulled at Uprising, I can’t wait to get my hands on you at Season’s Beatings!”
Jon Page: “Enough…”
Johnny All Star: “Why wait until then? Scared?”
He shoves Cody back a couple of steps.
Jon Page: “Enough…”
Cody responds with a shove of his own that prompts All Star to wind back for a punch. Before he can do so, Page slams his hands on the desk and stands up.
Jon Page: “I SAID ENOUGH! SIT DOWN!”
The two of them separate and sit down in their respective chairs in front of the desk.
Jon Page: “The reason why I called you both in here is because of what happened last week. I can’t afford to have you both at each other’s throats and get injured ahead of your match at Season’s Beatings. In what could, quite frankly, be the biggest pay-per-view main event in sVo history.”
Cody and All Star turn to face each other with snarls on their faces.
Jon Page: “I need to make sure that the two of you make it to Season’s Beatings in one piece. And in order for me to do that, I need to keep an eye on you both. Therefore, tonight, the two of you will be teaming up to face The Canadian Connection. And it will be for the sVo Tag Team Championships.”
The crowd in the Goodfellas Casino Arena erupt. All Star curls his hands into a ball and starts grinding his teeth. He lets out a loud, audible exhale and stands up.
Johnny All Star: “Is that all? Can I go now?”
Jon Page: “You may go.”
He stands up and brushes past Cody, bumping into him on his way to the door.
Jon Page: “Cody, stay behind.”
All Star stops to turn around, and then shakes his head as he slams the door behind him.
Jon Page: “Now I know you have hit the ground running and have been going non-stop since you came back. I appreciate you trying to bring back prestige to the sVo Championship and elevate everyone around you.”
Cody Williams: “I just want to give everyone the chances and opportunities that I wasn’t afforded.”
Jon Page: “And with Season’s Beatings around the corner I know you have your eyes set on All Star… But we have to make good on your defense against Scott Washington.”
Jon Page: “So next week, you will defend the sVo Championship against Washington at Uprising.”
Cody Williams: “Done. I will be there.”
The two of them stand up and shake hands. Cody grabs the sVo Championship from the desk and slings it over his shoulder.
Cody Williams: “And then next stop… I bring back the violence to sVo and shut All Star up once and for all!”
Fade to black.

The fans are on their feet cheering and shout ‘Gunner’ along with the song. Gunner drops the pyro gun and runs down to the ring slapping hands with the fans and giving devil horns. He slides into the ring under the bottom rope and proceeds to take off his shirt and bandanna throwing them into the crowd.
The referee calls for the bell to be rung, and the fans cheer on the former Las Vegas Champion as he and Norman lock up in the middle of the ring. Lang staggers backwards, until Norman begins to lay into him with some stiff knife edge chops across the chest. Norman backs Lang into the corner of the ring, before taking a run up and landing a high knee to his opponent. The fans are in shock as Lang staggers out of the corner, and Norman follows up with a neckbreaker to take his opponent down! With Lang down, this time it is Norman’s chance to make the cover!

The camera heads backstage where Katie Smith is standing by to interview one of the four men left in the sVo Roulette Championship tournament.
Katie Smith: “Hi, everyone! We have four men left in the Roulette Championship Tournament and I have one of those four with me right now… welcome “Big Aug” August Lazar!”
Stepping onto the set, the camera has to pan back a fair amount to capture the giant sVo rookie, “Big Aug” August Lazar. The tallest man on the roster looks down at Katie and nods as he shows off his first sVo shirt, “Big Aug = Big Trouble” written out in gold.
Big Aug: “Katie… hello again!”
Katie Smith: “Hello and thanks for joining us. First off, regarding your sVo Title match against Cody Williams, you put up a great effort against the champion. Even being in the middle of the Roulette Title tournament, what made you take him up on his open challenge?”
Big Aug: “Two things, Katie… the first… I came to sVo wrestlings to make waves. To do big things! Get Big Aug’s name out there. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but you don’t get shit if you don’t try.
Katie Smith: “Very poignant. And the second?”
Big Aug: “That I bet it all on f*****g black and lost at the casino. So I tried to be THE sVo Champion to make the winner’s purse mine.”
Sparse laughter can be heard in the background at Big Aug’s sad attempt at a gamble at the roulette wheel… that he vlogged about and put out for the world to see.
Katie Smith: “Unfortunate.”
Big Aug: “Is okay, I make money back being in main event anyway. Big Aug win again!”
Katie Smith: “Congrats to you on that! So with this Roulette Title tournament underway, there are three men aside from you. One of them you know, Absolute Zero. Nathan Judge, and Hiro Ryuu. Do you have any words for the competition?”
The massive rookie nods.
Big Aug: “Yes… Absolute Zero? You Absolute Asshole. You mad, bro, you get Dunked On twice by me cause you think I tiny rookie you walk on. If you get in way again, I make it third time! Nathan Judge? I not afraid of any man. If you try funny business with me, you call me August Executioner! And Hiro Ryuu… Big Aug say nothing bad about this guy. He seem okay… but no friends when the title and chance to make history in front of you. Big Aug ready for this and Big Aug come here to create moments, make history, run down competition and make Roulette Title THE title in sVo!”
He beats on his chest as the reaction grows louder.
Big Aug: “I left the NBA cause I make stupid mistake and get banned… but I get second chance at life came with the wrestlings and I damn sure not mess up. If other men think they get past me to win the title… like great man who got paid lot of money to say in funny GEICO ad…”
Big Aug: “Not today.”
Katie Smith: “Thanks for your time, August!”
The Romanian-born wrestler nods and stomps away from the set.

Barone poses on the ring apron for a few seconds, causing even more boos from the fans, before stepping clean over the top rope and waiting for the match to get started.
The fans rise to their feet as the referee calls for the bell to be rung, and the two giants stare at each other from across the ring! Slowly Knight and Barone walk towards each other, before meeting in the middle of the ring and nailing each other with some big right hands! The fans cheer each punch from Knight, while booing each right hand from Barone.

Senior referee Nick Jaxx holds the tag team championships into the air to signify this is a championship match.
***DING DING DING***
Jake Hughes and Cody Williams are in for their respective teams to start the match. Cody’s torso is heavily wrapped from the attack at Uprising from the hand’s of All Star but he looks to be powering through. They size each other up before settling into a collar and elbow tie up. Cody pulls Hughes in for a headlock and then transitions into a wrist lock. Hughes reverses it into a behind the back arm wringer. Cody spins out, ducks underneath and takes him over with a modified northern lights suplex and immediately pops back up with a kip up onto his feet.
Hughes gets back onto his feet and initiates another tie up. He applies his own headlock and then slips behind the back for a waist lock. Cody tried to escape but it’s locked in right. Hughes pops his hips and goes for a release German suplex but Cody lands on his feet. He rushes towards him and Cody sidesteps and uses his momentum against him, shoving him into the turnbuckles. Cody follows close behind and nails a running drop kick in the corner. As he prepares to Irish whip Hughes, All Star smacks him hard on the back for a tag and motions for him to get out of the ring.
All Star enters the ring and bumps shoulders with Cody as he exits. He runs at Hughes who ducks under and applies a waist lock. He takes him up and over with a German suplex but holds on. He sets up for another, while All Star starts reaching out for Cody who puts his hands up not accepting the tag. Hughes drops him with another suplex, but this time a release German. He pulls All Star over into his corner and tags in Scott Cole.
Cole starts battering All Star with clubbing forearms to the back. He shoves him into the corner and starts stomping a mudhole in him. He tags back out to Hughes who comes in and delivers boots of his own to a downed All Star. He tags Cole back in who irish whips Hughes, who reverses it and sends Cole into All Star with a running knee to the face. He pulls him into the center of the ring and makes the cover.
Cole picks him up and irish whips him into the ropes. All Star reverses it and whips him out of the ring through the ropes. Cole lands on the apron, hanging onto the ropes. All Star rushes at him full speed and dives through the ropes and delivers a spear that sends both of them tumbling to the outside. The referee begins his count.
Huges runs along the apron and starts scaling the turnbuckles. All Star and Cole start to get to their feet and start wailing at each other with left and rights.
Hughes stands perched atop the top turnbuckle and dives to the outside taking out both his partner and All Star with a flying crossbody!
Cody looks down at the wreck on the floor and then looks out into the crowd. He enters the ring and looks outside once more. He shrugs his shoulders and hits the ropes, he comes running across the ring at full speed and leaps into the air, clearing the ropes. TOPE CON HILO TAKING OUT EVERYONE ON THE FLOOR!
Cody gets back up to his feet and tosses Cole back into the ring. He picks up his partner All Star and rolls him into the ring as well, breaking up the count.
All Star and Cole try to shake off the cobwebs as they get back up onto their feet. All Star with a swing and a miss. Cole ducks underneath and sends him flying with a half and half suplex. All Star stumbles back onto his feet and as quick as he was up he is back down with a snap dragon suplex. Cole peels him off of the canvas and whips him into the ropes. He goes for a back body drop. NO! All Star picks him up — SIT-OUT POWERBOMB! TIGER DRIVER!
All Star stands back up on wobbly legs and climbs the nearest turnbuckles. Hughes distracts him and grabs a hold of his leg. All Star kicks him several times, knocking him off of the apron. Cole springs back up jumps onto the top rope — AVALANCHE BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!
The two of them lay in the center of the ring, exhausted as the referee administers the count. Both of them start to crawl to their respective corners. Cole reaches his first, and tags in Hughes who rushes in and grabs All Star’s leg. All Star turns around — ENZIGUIRI TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! He leaps into the corner and tags in Cody.
Cody rushes in and knocks Cole off of the apron with a running dropkick. He turns his attention to Hughes who is back on his feet. He runs the ropes and swings for the fences — BIG IN JAPAN! HIGH IMPACT RUNNING LARIAT! He turns Hughes inside out and dumps him on his head. Hugh starts to get on his feet, still feeling the effects of the running lariat. Cody unleashes a flurry of hand slaps, spinning chop, followed by a high roundhouse kick — PERFECT RUSH! He runs the ropes and comes back with a running single leg dropkick that echoes throughout the arena on impact. He turns back to All Star and goes for the tag but All Star hops off of the apron.
All Star leaves Cody high and dry, raising his arms in the air as he shakes his head. Cody stands there in disbelief as All Star continues to stand there hands in the air.
Cody shakes his head and turns around to a double boot to the midsection from Hughes and Cole. They hook his head and arm and dump him right on his head – DOUBLE BRAINBUSTER THAT SPIKES HIM! He slowly pulls himself onto his feet, clutching at his surgically repaired neck and walks right into DIS-CONNECTED!!! THE LOW CHOP BLOCK AND RUNNING CLOTHESLINE COMBINATION!!! Cole makes the cover!
The Canadian Connection has not only successfully defended the sVo Tag Team championships but they scored a pinfall over the sVo Champion!
See Ya Champ
The Canadian Connection exiting the ring, clutching their tag team championships as they pass by Johnny All Star who is still at ringside. Cody, still clutching his neck, retrieves a microphone and paces back and forth in the ring.
Cody Williams: “ALL STAR!”
A ringside member hands All Star a microphone as Cody continues to circle around the ring.
Cody Williams: “The time for talking is done! In two weeks time, I will have the distinct pleasure of making Season’s Beatings live up to its name when I inflict pain and suffering like you have never felt before!”
Johnny All Star: “Oh, is that right?”
Cody Williams: “Yeah, that’s right!”
Johnny All Star: “Well, with everyone here as my witness, I promise you that I will make you wish you never came back in the first place!”
Cody Williams: “Why wait until the pay per view? Get your ass in here and let’s do this right here, right now!”
The crowd erupts as Cody drops the microphone to the mat. All Star lets out a chuckle and shakes his head.
Johnny All Star: “You would like that wouldn’t you? Well too bad, because I don’t have to listen to you or any of these stupid fans!”
All Star starts to turn around to head to the back as the Goodfellas Casino Arena drowns him in boos. He stops in his tracks and turns his head back towards the ring.
Johnny All Star: “If I were you, just like last week at Uprising, I would watch my back. You never know what might hit you.”
JVD sneaks up from behind and hits Cody in the back with a steel folding chair. The rest of Blood Money is with him as they start stomping at Cody’s fallen body. All Star can be seen chuckling as he starts circling the outside of the ring. Cody stumbles onto his feet and walks right into Joe Barone who grabs him by the neck, lifts him up — ONE HANDED STALLING CHOKESLAM!
They continue to rain down punches, hammer fists, and boots to Cody until he rolls out of the ring and lands on the outside area. He starts to crawl, trying to get out of harms way but the attack continues. Barone clears off the announce desk and pushes away the commentators as Anthony Moretti, Money Malone, and JVD keep him grounded. The three of them lift him up and drop him through the table, it exploding and scattering across ringside — TRIPLE POWERBOMB!
All Star makes his way to where the carnage is going on and laughs as he slow claps. He gives a nod of approval and kneels down while his men hold Cody up by the arms and hair.
Johnny All Star: “And in case you were wondering what my stipulation for Season’s Beatings was… When I beat you for the sVo Championship… You have to leave the sVo…”
Johnny All Star: “FOREVER!”
Blood Money picks Cody up onto his feet as All Star stands up with him, tossing the microphone to the ground. He kicks him in the gut and drops him throat first across the top of his shoulder — ALL STAR STUNNER!
Johnny All Star: “See you at Season’s Beatings!…”
He spits down at him.
Johnny All Star: “CHAMP!”
Lucy Von Drake hands All Star the sVo Championship and he holds it in his grasps. He stares at it for several moments before slowly lifting it into the air with his foot on top of Cody’s chest. The sVo copyright logo appears at the bottom of the screen as All Star tosses the championship onto Cody’s fallen body. We go off the air with Johnny All Star standing tall with his arm raised and Blood Money standing behind him.
