sVo Showdown Episode #073
6th March 2011
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas Nevada
“Natural High” by The Union Underground hits the sound system as the sVo Showdown entrance video hits the screens of TV’s all over the world! The video featuring the likes of sVo Champion Jay Wildman, Roscoe Shame, Night, Bobby Dean and Samuel Amos shows some of the best action to have ever taken place on the flagship show of the Sanctioned Violence Organization.
As the video comes to an end, the camera cuts to the arena and pans around the sold out crowd as pyro’s shoot up from the entrance stage whilst the theme music continues to blast out over the sound system. The camera picks out several signs in the crowd as the fireworks continue to explode around the ringside area.
The camera then pans across to the entrance stage, where a video recap of last weeks action is shown on the giant Violence-Tron before tonight’s action gets under-way.
LAST WEEK ON SHOWDOWN #72
Matt Anderson is shown sitting in his office, poring over various documents related to the running of the sVo. The door is abruptly thrown open however and Nathan Paradine steps into the room, dressed in his ring gear from his tag team match. He slowly approaches the desk and Anderson lowers the document he is reading, his eyebrow raised.
Matt Anderson: “Can I help you with something, Paradine?”
Paradine ignores Anderson and picks up a photograph of Anderson during his wrestling heyday. Paradine snickers and lowers the photograph back down onto the desk.
Matt Anderson: “Well? Or am I going to call security and have your ass thrown out of here?”
Nathan Paradine: “I’ve come to offer you… a deal, of sorts.”
Matt Anderson: “What the hell are you talking about?”
Nathan Paradine: “You’re the only man in the sVo with the power to book the match I want. Now, I want a match for the tag team titles against Beautiful Shame. I even put in a request to the Company on the down low, since we both happen to speak the same language.”
Paradine rubs his fingers together, making the universal symbol for money. Anderson nods his head slowly, urging him to continue.
Nathan Paradine: “Since the Company haven’t gotten back to me and I’m an impatient man, I’m coming straight to you. I want a tag team match at Vendetta, and I’m prepared to go to extremes to get it. I have something that could possibly destroy the reputation of Bobby Dean.”
Matt Anderson: “Do you really think I care? It’s easy to find a prima donna like him in this business.”
Nathan Paradine: “Heh. Believe me, this could be bad for the sVo… because I happen to have in my possession a sex tape starring a certain former member of the Hostility roster and sVo’s very own blue-wearing ass bandit. Do you really want that kind of publicity? Especially after the unfortunate death of Scott Love, and the unusually high number of workers you’ve laid off ever since you took over control in the name of the Company.”
Anderson grinds his teeth together, an action that only serves to widen the smirk on Paradine’s face. Eventually he swallows and manages to compose himself.
Matt Anderson: “I’ll see what I can do. No guarantees, mind you!”
Nathan Paradine: “I’m glad we’re now on the same page. The last thing the world needs to see is Bobby Dean attempting to perform fellatio on himself after all… but bear in mind, I’m only going to wait a week. If I don’t get an answer on Showdown, I’m going to play the sex tape for EVERYONE to see.”
Anderson nods again and Paradine turns to leave the office. He pauses next to the turn however and glances over his shoulder.
Nathan Paradine: “It’s a shame I have to force your hand like this, Anderson. I know we’ve had our differences, but I’m sure we could be a killer team if we wanted to.”
Paradine exits the office, slamming the door shut behind him. Anderson leans back in his chair with a thoughtful expression as the scene comes to an end.
BarredNathan Paradine is shown walking backstage dressed to kill in a sharp three piece suit. He approaches two burly security guards, who move to block his access to the Goodfellas Arena. Paradine chuckles and attempts to move past them both, however they remain unmoved.
Nathan Paradine: “What the bloody hell is this nonsense? Get out of my way.”
The guards exchange looks with each other before the larger of the two steps forward, his chest puffed out.
Security Guard: “We’ve had special orders from Mr. Anderson. You’re not allowed backstage, because of your little press stunt concerning Bobby Dean.”
Paradine lowers his sunglasses, his eyebrow raised in mock surprise.
Nathan Paradine: “You mean, because I’m threatening to cause yet another scandal for our much beleagured General Manager? I’m afraid this is a matter between myself, Bobby Dean… and a certain other individual.”
Security Guard: “You’re not getting past me, alright? Just go back to your hotel room or something and take your problem up with Mr. Anderson.”
Paradine opens his mouth to continue arguing, however his expression changes as an idea forms in his mind. He grins wolfishly and turns around, waving good-bye to the two guards as the scene comes to an end.
The Blackout Vs. Sean MaverickNatasha Ortiz: “The following contest is your opening contest for Showdown. The match is set for one fall with ten minute time limit. Introducing first, making his way to the ring.”
All the lights fade, and darkness surrounds the arena. “Headstrong” by Trapt starts playing on the PA as the entrance ramp is bathed in the blue, white and red lights of the Union Jack.
Natasha Ortiz: “He’s from Manchester, England, weighing in at two-hundred and ten pounds, SEAN MAVERICK!”
Sean Maverick steps out in his all black ring attire, a scowl on his face. He sprints down towards the ring and slides in. He talks down to the crowd and is greeted by unanimous loud booing.
Natasha Ortiz: “Now introducing his opponent!”
The lights in the arena start to flicker as “Fuck It” by Seether starts to softly enter the arena as the Violence-Tron goes into a static frenzy until it goes black.
Natasha Ortiz: “He’s from parts unknown, THE BLACK OUT!”
The lights in the arena soon flicker into darkness, as the music plays throughout the arena and the flashes from cameras, display lights from cell phones, and even some lighters give a small dose of light in the crowd. The Violence-Tron flashes pure white as Black Out appears on it in black with blood oozing down it and the lights return to normal and Black Out is standing in the ring and the music quickly fades into silence.
The two new comers stare across the ring looking at one another as the referee for the contest points to the time keeper for the sound of the bell.
The two men slowly approach the center of the ring, as Sean Maverick extends his hand in a friendly gesture for a handshake. Black Out looks at the hand and looks up at Sean locking eyes. Black Out slowly starts to extend his hand as the two finally clutch in a shake, but both men share the same thought as they plant a boot into the midsection of each other.
The two clumsily go backwards, but quickly charge one another with a clothesline. The meet hard, as both men crash onto their backs on the hard canvas below them. The referee goes to each man, ensure they are able to continue on.
Both men manage to get on their knees and stand back on their feet. Black Out rushes Sean, but with a leap frog, Black Out hits the ropes and Maverick turns and bends over. As he attempts the back body drop, Black Out plants a boot into the shoulder and chest region sending Maverick back up. Black Out shoots Sean Maverick off into the ropes and drops his head for a back body drop of his own. Sean returns but he hooks the head of Black Out and swings him around and drops him with a swinging neck breaker. Maverick quickly goes into a cover hooking both legs.
Black Out forces his way out of the pin attempt, but Sean Maverick is back to his feet grabbing the head and mask of Black Out. Toying with his opponent, Maverick pulls him up and scoops him up and slams him down on the canvas. Maverick steps out onto the apron and climbs up the ropes as he stands on the top. He points at Black Out, and dives off with the point of his elbow aimed at his opponent. Black Out at the last second pulls up his knees and Maverick lands armpit and ribcage on the knees.
Sean rolls around on the canvas, screaming in pain. Black Out is slowly getting to his feet. Black Out walks towards Sean, as he uses the hair to pull him up. Black Out wrenches the arm, and puts a foot into the armpit. With a quick motion, Black Out leaps up with the other leg and goes down back first allowing his foot to jam into the armpit with extreme force.
Maverick goes down, doing his best to shield the left side of his upper body, as he attempts to fight through the pain and tears that are trying to control him. The crowd, stun watches from a standing position unsure what to think of the two new stars in sVo.
Black Out is to his feet, as stands over Maverick. Black Out steps on the knees of Sean, locking Sean’s legs behind his calves. Black Out slaps both sides with his hands to get the arms of Sean, as he hooks them he lifts up Sean. Sean screams out in pain, as Black Out rocks back, until he can sit down with his opponent facing towards the ropes. The referee checks in with Maverick, wanting to know if he wants to quit, but the Englishman will have none of it.
Black Out completes the move as he rocks back onto his back and has Sean looking up at the lights. The referee notices the shoulders down and without hesitation goes in for a count.
Black Out releases the hold, as Maverick falls on top of him. Black Out wraps his arms around Sean and bridges up off the canvas. He lifts up Maverick and slings him back for a German suplex, but Maverick black flips to his feet. Black Out turns around, and Maverick throws an elbow at the face, but Black Out side steps it, locks the arm in an Ude Gatami, standing arm lock. Black Out drops down on it, leaning back on the arm as Maverick has no choice but to tap. The referee points to the time keeper for the bell.
Natasha Ortiz: “And here is your winner by submission, THE BLACK OUT!”
Black Out releases the hold as he stands to his feet and raises his arms in victory. The crowd gives him a mixture of cheers and some boos, and many nothing. As Seether’s “Fuck It” plays and the lights go out. After a few minutes they come back on and Black Out is gone.
RevengeThe cameras head backstage to the interview area where Katie Smith is standing by with Achilles Young. Young is sporting a black eye after his encounter with Sheldon Hossteder last night on UnSanctioned that is still visable from behind his dark shades. For once Achilles Young is without the rest of the Achilles Administration.
Katie Smith: “Achilles Young, you have made a big impact here in the sVo ever since your debut a few weeks ago. However your loss last night to Sheldon Hossteder has stopped your progression in the Red & Black tournament…”
Achilles Young: “Sheldon Hossteder will get what is coming to him, don’t you worry about that! Until then I don’t want to talk about a loss, I am only looking forward.”
Katie Smith: “Well many fans are confused about you showing up during the Timothy Webb vs. Skidalz match on UnSanctioned last night as well.”
Achilles Young: “Why would they be confused by that?”
Katie Smith: “Well the week before you accused Timothy Webb of stealing your time on Showdown. Last night it looked like you helped him win?”
Achilles Young: “Actually…”
Before Achilles Young even has a chance to finish his sentence he is caught with a surprise kidney punch from Skidalz from behind! Katie Smith quickly scatters as Skidalz lays into Achilles Young with some big kicks and stomps to send him down to the ground before security is able to get in and break up the fight. Skidalz looks angry as she is pulled away, obviously blaming Achilles Young for her defeat to Webb last night on UnSanctioned!
The Canadian Connection Vs. The Atoe BoysThe unmistakable opening riff to Rush’s “Tom Sawyer” begin to echo throughout the Goodfellas Arena. The crowd gives a moderate pop as Pat Atoe makes his way out onto the stage. He stops at the top of the ramp and surveys the crowd as the hulking frame of his ‘brother’, Tom Atoe, appears behind him on stage.
As the music continues to play, both men make their way down to the ring, Tom slapping hands with several fans, while Tom keeps a watchful eye on their surroundings.
Tom remains outside the ring as Pat hops up to the apron, and then up to the top of the nearest set of turnbuckles. He salutes the crowd before hopping down into the ring.
“Last Resort” hits the sound system and on the big screen we see highlights of Canadian Perfect Chris Wrestling. Then Canadian Perfect Chris Wrestling comes out with a huge smirk on his face, trying to prevent the crowd from touching him.
“Last Resort” plays as Canadian Crippler comes out completely focused on the ring. He enters the ring and awaits the bell.
With Pat Atoe in the ring ready to get things started off for his team, Crippler looks as if he is going to get things going for the Canadian Connection until Chris Wrestling jumps into the ring in his place and begins to hit Pat Atoe with some big right hands! Crippler looks confused at his partners actions before slowly making his way back into his own corner as the referee quickly calls for the bell to be rung as Chris Wrestling opens up on Pat Atoe with some big right hands.
Pat Atoe manages to fight his way back out of the corner of the ring with some punches of his own until Chris Wrestling is able to duck under a right hand and take him down with a fireman’s carry takedown. The fans boo as Chris Wrestling rises up to his feet before bringing a stomp back down on his opponents groin! The referee warns Chris Wrestling as he rises up to his feet with a smirk on his face. Pat Atoe slowly brings himself up to a standing position before being tossed across the ring with a big release suplex.
Crippler reaches out for the tag from his partner, but Chris Wrestling seems to ignore him as he turns back around and begins to stomp away on Pat Atoe’s head. Pat Atoe slowly brings himself back to a standing position before being taken back down to the mat with a double arm drag takedown. With Pat Atoe on the mat, Chris Wrestling locks him in a facelock and tries to wear down his opponent.
Tom Atoe tries to get his partner motivated as he struggles to fight out of the facelock and make his way back to his own corner of the ring. Chris Wrestling tries to keep the hold locked in, but Tom Atoe manages to swing out of his before diving across to tag in the larger Tom Atoe! There is a cheer from the crowd as Tom Atoe climbs into the ring and runs through Chris Wrestling with a big shoulder block takedown. Chris Wrestling rises back up to his feet and runs at his opponent, but Tom Atoe is able to take him down with a big Somoan drop in the middle of the ring! With Chris Wrestling down Tom Atoe makes the cover!
Crippler manages to break up the cover before the three count can be made on his partner! Crippler stomps on Tom Atoe’s head with a vicious kick before making his way back to the corner of the ring. Crippler holds his arm out looking for the tag from Chris Wrestling, but as Chris Wrestling staggers up to his feet he refuses to make the tag out! The fans begin to boo as Chris Wrestling stumbles across and begins to stomp away on his opponent!
Chris Wrestling pulls Tom Atoe up to his feet and positions him for a belly to belly suplex, however Tom Atoe counters with a big head butt to the face of Chris Wrestling. Chris Wrestling stumbles backwards and Tom Atoe knocks him down with a second head butt! Chris Wrestling rolls out of the ring holding his head in pain as Crippler asks his partner what he is doing!
Tom Atoe begins to taunt Crippler from the middle of the ring, and as he does Crippler looks like he is ready to take out his anger as he tries to climb into the ring! The referee quickly makes his way over to restrain Crippler, but as he does Chris Wrestling rolls into the ring with a steel chair! Chris Wrestling smashes the chair into the back of Tom Atoe’s head, before knocking Pat Atoe off the ring apron with a big shot with the steel chair as well! Chris Wrestling makes the cover on Tom Atoe as the referee turns around from restraining Crippler.
This one is all over, but the boos ring out around the arena for the way that The Canadian Connection have got the match won! As the referee checks on Tom and Pat Atoe after the two vicious steel chair shots, Crippler looks angry as he climbs into the ring to confront his partner. Crippler looks angry at not getting tagged in the whole match and for the way that Chris Wrestling won the match, but as he faces his partner Chris Wrestling simply turns away and rolls out of the ring. Crippler shakes his head as Chris Wrestling slowly walks back up the entrance ramp alone.
Team WorkAs the scene heads backstage Chris Wrestling is making his way down the corridor towards the parking lot with his bags as his team mate Crippler tries to stand in his way.
Crippler: “What the hell was all that about Chris? Why didn’t you tag me into the match?”
Wrestling stares down his partner, before shaking his head and pushing past him on the way to his car with his bags.
Crippler: “What the hell is the matter with you man?”
Wrestling stops in his tracks and begins to slowly turns around, before shaking his head again and disappearing through the doors to the car park leaving Crippler staring at the doors with a stunned expression on his face as he tries to work out what is going on with his friend.
Nero Vs. DJ”Sinner” by Drowning Pool begins. On the big screen we see highlights of DJ. Then DJ comes out walking and dancing a bit toward the ring.
The lights go dim suddenly before a loud blast as one bulb breaks. Before the shattered glass even hits the floor, the lights go pitch black and the audience is silent. If only for a moment before the lights emerge even brighter than before. The opening cords to “The Red” by Chevelle blasts over the announce system and the crowd is on their feet, readying themselves for the mindfuck that will soon be here. The bright lights dim to near darkness once more save for a spotlight on the entrance area. Smoke soon begins to filter up from the ground and within the light emerges the darkness known as the “Leper Messiah” himself, Nero.
His distorted smile plastered across his face as he makes his way to the ring, his lambheads upon his shoulders. His gaze is locked upon the ring, his pale skin gleaming in the spotlight. The smoke continues to rise up to his knees, the fans booing loudly as he continues his mark to the ring. He treks up the stairs and steps over the second rope. Waltzing to the center of the ring, he stares out into the crowd, basking in their insane jeers. His smile becomes more ugly and sociopathic in nature before he waltzes over to a corner and removes his lambheads. He sets them down and slinks into the corner, awaiting the arrival of his opponent to start, smiling and laughing to himself sickly. The lights soon return to normal and the crowd continues their onslaught of boos and jeers.
DJ and Nero tie up, Nero uses his size to back DJ up into the corner. The ref calls for a clean break and appears to get one until Nero pops off a knee into the midsection. Nero steps back and nails DJ with a knife edge chop that echoes through the arena. Nero with a second and then third chop. The Leper Messiah sends DJ out of the corner and towards the opposite one but gets reversed and send into the corner himself. DJ sprints across the ring and leaps into the air nailing Nero with a corner splash.
DJ stays on the offensive lifting Nero back to his feet only to suplex him down by the ropes. DJ quickly out onto the apron uses the top rope to slingshot himself up and over and nails Nero with a slingshot senton. DJ with the quick cover.
Nero gets the shoulder up at two and a half. DJ brings Nero back to his feet only to get a thumb into the eye for his effort. Nero locks in a cravat. While holding onto the cravat he brings up a big knee to the face of DJ before hitting him with the Call to Caligula. Nero stays on DJ though by immediately going to work on the back of DJ by dropping a big knee. Nero leaves his knee in the middle of the back of DJ and grabs him in a clutch and pulls back. DJ grimaces in pain but can’t quite reach the ropes. Nero releases the clutch so that he can jump again and go for another knee to the back but DJ rolls out of the way. DJ tries to quickly get to his feet. Nero goes to chop him back down with a clothesline attempt but DJ ducks under it. Nero turns around only to catch a foot to the stomach and a quick ddt by DJ.
Both men down and trying to recover. DJ and Nero both get to their feet at about the same time. Both men think punch and start to exchange left and rights in the center of the ring before Nero once again goes with a poke to the eyes. Nero locks in an arm wench. DJ rolls forward onto his back and then kips up to his feet and spins around and under Nero’s arm reversing the arm wench and actually flipping the Leper Messiah up and over onto his back. DJ locks in an arm bar and drops his knee down onto the shoulder of Nero. DJ slowing the pace for a moment as he’s still trying to recover from earlier.
DJ stands back up and drags Nero to his feet as well. DJ ends Nero off the rope and charges after him. DJ jumps up into the air and grabs Nero with a headscissors take over. As soon as DJ hits though he pops right back to his feet and runs to bounce off another set of ropes. HE comes back and nails Nero with a baseball slide to the side of the head. Nero is dazed as DJ gets back to his feet. DJ heads to the top rope. DJ leaps off looking for the DJ Splash but Nero rolls out of the way!
Nero is back to his feet and waiting on DJ to raise. AS soon as he’s verticle Nero slaps on the Medusa’s Snare. DJ is trying to fight it off before he can lock it all the way in. DJ gets an arm around the neck of Nero and runs towards the corner, climbing up the turnbuckles and leaping off. DJ sends himself over the rope rope and hands Nero’s neck over the rope rope as he lands on his feet on the outside. DJ quickly jumps back onto the apron as Nero seems slightly dazed. Nero snaps back out of it though and charges nailing DJ with a back elbow sending him flying off the apron and into the guard railing.
Nero slides out of the ring and is stalking DJ. He grabs DJ by the hair and pulls him to his feet. Leaning him back against the railing Nero nails him with a hard knife edge chop, followed by a second one. Nero grabs DJ by the arm and irish whips him straight back first into the steps. Nero smirks as DJ writhes in pain. Nero grabs him by the hair once more and pulls him to his feet. Nero drags DJ a little further from the stairs and goes to irish whip him into them a second time. This time though DJ manages to jump up onto the second step push off jumping back towards Nero and nailing him with a flying clothesline.
DJ slowly gets back to his feet and rolls into the ring to stop the count. He grabs ahold of the top rope and uses it to help launche himself up and outside hitting a plancha on Nero as he was trying to get to his feet. DJ looks out to the crowd who seems to be loving seeing the Leper Messiah getting his. DJ helps Nero back up to his feet but gets a quick shot to the stomach from Nero. Followed by another and another. Nero gets back fully to his feet and snaps off a quick jab to the face of DJ. DJ slightly dazed just long enough for Nero to take him down with a hard haymaker right hand.
Nero wastes little time lifting DJ back to his feet and rolling him onto the apron. Nero slides back into the ring himself. Nero has evil intent in his eyes as he grabs up DJ and helps him to his knees on the apron. Nero slides DJ through the middle and top rope looking for the Sword of Damocles. DJ gets his feet off the rope though and wraps his arms around the waist of Nero. DJ using some strength manages to pick Nero up and quickly snaps him down with a spinebuster.
DJ stands back to his feet as he lifts Nero back up to a verticle base as well. DJ sends Nero off the far ropes and then sends himself off the opposite side. DJ with a running start leaps into the air and nails Nero with a flying clothesline. DJ waits on Nero to get back to his feet and then charges and hits him with another flying clothesline. DJ is feeling it as he waits on Nero to get back to his feet once more this time to get right up behind him and lock in a waist lock. DJ pops his hips and takes Nero down with a hard german suplex.
DJ goes up top, he can feel it. DJ looks down once more and sees Nero dazed and confused on the mat. He leaps off the top turnbucle looking for the DJ Splash. As soon as he jumps though Nero kips up to his feet! As DJ is coming down Nero jumps into the air and nails the falling DJ with another Call to Caligula!!!! Nero wastes no time as soon as they hit the mat Nero is back to his feet and grabs DJ rolling him over onto his back. Nero grabs the arm of DJ and drops his knee down towards the chest throat region of DJ while falling down and over to his side, next thing we know Nero has locked in the Fall of Rome!
With DJ locked in the painful submission hold, he has no choice but to quickly tap out as Nero tries to break him in half! Boos ring out around the arena as Nero keeps the hold locked in despite the fact that DJ has already tapped and the referee has called for the bell to be rung.
I Have A ProblemThe Showdown cameras head backstage to the office of Company leader Matt Anderson who is sitting behind his desk. Anderson is as always wearing his trademark wrap-a-round sunglasses over his face and is watching Showdown on the large screen on the far wall when a knock of the door interrupts him. Anderson looks over at the door as if he was expecting it.
Matt Anderson: “Send him in!”
The door is slowly opened by a towering Company agent wearing a suit, and a miserable looking Rey Rosario slowly walks into the office and sits down in the chair in front of Anderson’s desk.
Matt Anderson: “Did I tell you that you could sit?”
Rosario stares daggers at Anderson, but eventually does stand up. Anderson looks to be taking great pleasure at torturing Rey Rosario.
Matt Anderson: “Please, take a seat.”
Rosario looks as if he is literally biting his own tongue to stop himself saying anything as a wide smile spreads across the face of Matt Anderson.
Matt Anderson: “Now you know why you are here Rey. Thanks to your gambling over the last few months you owe some of my associates a very large amount of money. Considering that you are one of my employees and it would look bad for someone that works in a Casino to have such a large gambling debt hanging over their heads, I have bought your debt for you.”
Rosario suddenly perks up.
Matt Anderson: “Don’t look too happy Rosario, the money you owed them you now owe me. You can start paying off your debt by destroying Alex Brooks in a single match tonight!”
Rosario stares down at the floor, obviously a broken man knowing that Matt Anderson now has such huge power over him.
Matt Anderson: “I will be expecting you to join Nightmare, James Von Drake, Benedict Wilson and DJ in the Company team for the Organised Chaos match at Vendetta as well….”
Rey Rosario: “I am not a member of the Company and I never will be, no matter how much money I owe!”
Anderson seems amused by the little outburst from Rosario as he leans back in his recliner.
Matt Anderson: “Damn right your not, with the amount of money you owe you are the Company’s bitch!”
Anderson laughs heavily as Rey Rosario shakes his head and slowly leaves the office.
You Have A ProblemDJ looks to be limping and in pain as he makes his way through the gorilla position after suffering a loss to Nero in the last match up thanks to being locked in his painful submission finishing move. DJ looks disappointed as he walks past a few suited Company agents who look down on him and slowly shake their heads in disgust. With Juliana Torres and Raven fired and DJ having to work for Matt Anderson in order to get his friends their jobs back, DJ looks depressed as he slowly makes his way past the Company agents and towards his locker room.
DJ looks like he is trying to make sure he doesn’t bump into Matt Anderson as he peers around the corner, before rushing towards the direction of his locker room. However as DJ rushes around the corner he runs straight into former sVo Owner Jon Page!
Jon Page, the leader of the group that will take on the Company team at Vendetta looks down at DJ, before offering a knowing nod to the high flyer.
DJ stares back up at the former sVo Owner before giving a nod right back. DJ and Jon Page smile before quickly walking in their opposite directions.
X-Treme ActionShowdown returns from a commercial to show a wide shot of the Goodfellas Arena, packed to the rafters with thousands of screaming fans. Abruptly the lights dim however and a unsettled hush falls over the crowd. For a moment or two there is almost silence, until a distinctively high voice can be heard echoing from the sound system.
Simon Marks: “Is this thing on?”
The sVo-Tron bursts to life, revealing grainy night vision footage of Marks’s face in close-up. The former Hostility star takes a step back, revealing that he is quite obviously naked. Another voice, slightly distorted, can be heard in the background.
Bobby Dean: “It’s on. Now, get over here.”
Marks giggles and moves towards a large double bed, where Bobby Dean is shown laying back dressed in jeans and a baby blue t-shirt. Marks climbs up onto the bed and stands up facing Dean and the picture freezes.
Nathan Paradine: “And that, dear people, is how is it done.”
The picture cuts away to show Nathan Paradine sitting in the production booth, headphones in his head. He twiddles a dial on a large mixing desk in front of his and a loud grunting noise blasts around the arena.
Nathan Paradine: “Believe me, you do NOT want to know what that is. Now, I recommend that Roscoe Shame and Bobby Dean get out to the ring unless you all want to see Bobby’s face covered in-“
Suddenly, “Real Solution #9” by White Zombie begins to blast over the speakers as Matt Anderson storms out onto the ramp, microphone in hand. He glances up at the sVo-Tron and his jaw drops. He raises the microphone, barely about to choke the words out.
Matt Anderson: “What… what the hell is this!?”
Nathan Paradine: “What do you think, Matt?”
Matt Anderson: “Don’t you dare play that video again, Paradine. If you play it, you’ll tilt my hand and discover that you’re not the only one who can go to… *ahem*. Extremes.”
Paradine glances around the production area and shrugs, however he doesn’t play the video.
Nathan Paradine: “Alright, Anderson. I’m no fool, I know when to toe the line. I was just having my fun with Bobby, who I might add hasn’t bothered to confront me about recent happenings. He’s been too busy with blue babes and… well, you all saw the video.”
Paradine chuckles and stands up, holding up the same disk that Simon Marks handed to him last week on Showdown.
Nathan Paradine: “You see, I’ve been thinking… I already have what I initially wanted, and that was a shot at the sVo Tag Team Championship. Now, I’ve found something else I want, and I think you should give in to this particular request.”
Matt Anderson: “Oh? And what exactly would that be, since I could just fire you and be done with it?”
Nathan Paradine: “You think I’m just going to announce it here? Oh no, Anderson, that is not what will happen! I’m going to wait one more week before I reveal… something. When my demands are met, I’ll destroy this disk and leave the personal lives of Bobby Dean and Roscoe Shame alone. Deal?”
Matt Anderson: “My office. Now. I want to hear this offer, just you and I.”
Nathan Paradine: “I don’t think so, Anderson. I’m banned from backstage, remember?”
Before Anderson can make a comment, Paradine flicks another switch on the desk and the screen cuts out. Anderson storms backstage, his shouting and swearing audible.
Matt Anderson: “Cut to another fucking commercial now!”
Sara Pettis Vs. AsesinoBoos begin to ring out around the arena as the entrance ramp lights up and Headstrong by Trapt hits the sound system. On the sVo-Tron highlights of Asesino’s sVo greatest moments play as Asesino slowly makes his way out from the backstage area and down the entrance ramp. Asesino stares out the crowd as he walks, before rolling into the ring. Asesino walks around the ring looking out at those in the crowd who are booing him, before jumping up onto the second rope of the nearest turnbuckle and taunting to the fans by throwing them an ironic kiss.
‘Flower’ by The Moby begins to play, as blue and white strobe lights flash at the entrance. Sara steps out from the back and waves at the crowd with a smile. She then jogs excitedly down the aisle, slapping hands with fans on either side along the way, before sliding under the bottom rope into the ring. She removes the TapOut championship from around her waist and passes it to the referee. He takes the championship and folds it as he passes it to the ring side assistant before motioning for the timekeeper to ring the bell.
And this singles match is underway! Sara Pettis makes her way to the middle of the ring, Asesino quickly obliges and they meet face to face in the middle of the ring staring the other one down. Asesino chuckles a little bit and looks out into the crowd, pointing in the direction of Sara Pettis obviously not taking her serious at all. Sara swats his hand out of the way and shoves him, sending him a few steps backwards. He shrugs it off and motions for Sara to come towards him. The two of them lock up in a collar and elbow tie up and they each try to gain the strength advantage over the other competitor. Sara takes a few steps backwards and then drives her weight forward causing Asesino to take a few steps backwards as well. They break the tie up and Asesino has a look of confusion and shock over the fact that a female was able to overpower him.
Sara Pettis tells Asesino to bring it on to which Asesino flashes a smirk on his face and points to himself, before pointing to Sara. He casually strolls up to Sara and places his hands on his hips. As Sara turns her head to the side Asesino shoves Sara with full force sending her backwards and crashing back first onto the canvas. She immediately scrambles back to her feet and backhand slaps Asesino, leaving a visible red mark on the side of his face. He clutches at his cheek, his eyes wide open as he tries to comprehend what had just happened. He immediately grabs hold of the TapOut champion and locks in a side headlock. He clasps his hands together tightly, really driving his forearm into the side of Sara’s face. Sara pushes Asesino into the ropes and tries to shoot him off but he keeps his grip tight. He floats over into a waist lock and lifts her into the air before slamming her face first onto the mat. Sara tries to regain her composure but Asesino tries to get the position advantage and switches to a sprawl and then locks in another side headlock. The crowd starts to get behind Sara, cheering for their favorite blue superstar and she uses it to regain her strength. She delivers a hard elbow to the gut, followed by another. She grabs hold of Asesino around the waist and lifts him high into the air before driving his back down to the mat with a high angle back drop.
Asesino jumps up to his feet and runs towards the direction of Sara, she sees him coming her way and takes him down with a sit out hip toss. The two of them scramble and Asesino sprints towards Sara who takes him up and over with a Japanese arm drag. Sara pops up onto her feet and raises her arm into the air to the delight of the crowd. Sara goes for broke and swings for the fences with a hard clothesline but Asesino ducks underneath it, Sara turns around and eats a side kick to the gut that folds her over. Asesino runs for the ropes, Sara drops to her stomach and Asesino jumps over her. He bounces of the ropes on the other side and comes running with a full head of steam. Sara leaps into the air for a front dropkick but instead wraps her legs around his head and takes him over with a beautiful hurricarana into a pin hooking the legs hard.
NO! Kickout by Asesino. Sara hops up to her feet and throws her arms into the air, getting the crowd to rally behind her. She grabs Asesino by the hair and picks him up onto his feet. She hits him with a forearm to the side of the face and irish whips him, but the attempt seems to fail as Asesino puts on the brakes and reverses it, sending Pettis into the corner instead. Her back collides with the turnbuckles, shaking the ring in the process. Asesino walks over to the corner across the ring from her and stares out into the crowd, much to the shagrin of the fans. He runs straight towards her with a full head of steam and hits a hard clothesline that lifts Sara off of her feet. He immediately hooks in a side headlock and charges out of the corner and nails a running bulldog on the TapOut champion.
He crawls over to her and places his hands on her throat, choking her with a menacing look on his face. The referee tries to pull him off of her and begins to administer a five count.
He lets go of the hold and shrugs his shoulders at the referee as he makes his way back to his feet. Asesino follows this up by bouncing off of the ropes and drives his elbow hard to the top of Sara’s head with a diving elbow drop. He slowly but surely makes his way onto his feet and looks out into the crowd and raises his arms out to his side. The crowd showers him with a rain of boos, much to the delight of the man standing in the middle of the ring. He grabs Sara by the hair and slowly picks her up onto her feet. He floats over, this one looks to be over as Asesino hooks the leg with the pinning predicament.
NO! Sara is able to find it in her to get her shoulder up off of the canvas before the count of three. Asesino pounds on the mat in frustration and rolls over into a kneeling position. He runs his fingers through his hair, wondering what he has to do to put away the most popular TapOut champion since the title’s inception. He grabs Sara by the hair who punches him in the stomach on the way up. Asesino throws her back down onto the mat, her face colliding with the unforgiving canvas. He picks her up by the hair again and slaps her silly, the sound of his hand colliding with her face echoing throughout the Goodfellas Arena. He immediately follows it up a kick to her stomach. He folds her over and places him in between his legs. He lifts her into the air and ferociously drives her into the canvas with a jacknife powerbomb into a pin.
Asesino breaks up the pin by lifting Sara back into the air and drives her into the mat once more with another powerbomb that folds Sara up. However he is not done, he lifts her back into the air, looking for a third powerbomb. Sara puts a hold on the attempt and tries to punch her way out of the powerbomb. Seeing that her punches have taken a toll on her opponent, she goes for another hurricarana. Asesino pushes her off of his shoulders and Sara lands on her feet. Asesino wildly hits her with a jaw breaking lariat that turns Sara inside out.
Sara looks lifeless on the ring canvas, her body laying there motionless, showing no signs of life. Asesino wipes his hands clean as he stares down at his fallen foe, laughing at his work. He makes a cutthroat motion towards the crowd before grabbing Sara by the hair. He squeezes his hand around the face of Sara, he releases his grip and slaps Sara right across the face, sending her spinning around. Asesino hooks Sara’s arms in a butterfly lock, looking to be going for the ASESINO UNPRETTIER!!!! He tries to spin her around but Sara puts on the breaks, he tries for it once more but to no avail. Sara is able to break free one of her arms and delivers a hard back elbow to the side of her challenger’s face.
