sVo Power Rankings – 18th August 2021

The Power Rankings are in after a massive Ultimate Victory 2021 PPV!

After the recent Ultimate Victory PPV, there have been some big moves in the sVo Power Rankings with a new sVo Heavyweight Champion crowned and a new winner of this year’s Victory Cup tournament!

#1 – Gunner Lang

Horizon’s Gunner Lang is currently on the biggest run of his career after overcoming all of the rest of the competition and winning the Victory Cup, a tournament that has previously been won by the likes of Mike Best & JVD! With Lang already holding the sVo Las Vegas Championship, he could really cement his place at the top of the rankings by coming out victorious in the sVo Heavyweight Championship match that he has earned by winning the tournament.

#2 – William Vorheez

Vorheez’s reign as sVo Heavyweight Champion may have come to an end at the hands of Johnny All Star at Ultimate Victory 2021 in strange circumstances, however Vorheez still finds himself 2nd in the Power Rankings thanks to his 75% winning percentage which is among the best in the sVo for anyone that has competed in at least twenty matches. Vorheez will no doubt be looking to use his place in the Power Rankings to springboard himself back into contention to become the first ever three time sVo Heavyweight Champion.

#3 – Johnny All Star

By winning the sVo Heavyweight Championship belt at Ultimate Victory 2021, All Star managed to springboard himself up the Power Rankings and into third place! Whilst All Star has been trying to win ‘the big one’ since 2007, a successful run with the belt for the Horizon man is bound to see him shoot further up the Power Rankings in no time at all.

#4 – Anthony Moretti

Ultimate Victory wasn’t a successful night for Moretti, with the leader of Blood Money aiming to win the Victory Cup tournament only to come up short in the semi final’s against the eventual winner Gunner Lang. With Moretti having his own issues with Athena right now his focus might be off of regaining the sVo Heavyweight Championship, however it is likely that Moretti will never be too far away from the hunt with Blood Money behind him.

#5 – Darwin Jones

Jones wasn’t involved in the Ultimate Victory PPV, however he does have new #1 contenders to face off against after the PPV with the Canadian Connection emerging as worthy challengers. Jones however has a 88% winning record in the sVo and has been impressive in every match he has competed in so far. It’s only a matter of time before the powerhouse of Horizon breaks out and makes a big statement in the sVo.

"Cody Williams… what a saga we’ve had. Ours is a story spanning ten years and three different wrestling companies, multiple title reigns, several high profile matches and, ultimate, an ill-fated partnership. You’re the ying to my yang, the sun to my moon… the thorn to my side. I want both of you to realize that you’re looking at the next sVo World Heavyweight Champion. I am going to walk into Infamous a champion, and I am going to walk out of Infamous a champion."
