sVo Against All Odds #014

William Vorheez defends his sVo Championship against Scott Washington.

sVo Against All Odds
Goodfellas Casino Arena
Sunday 16th May 2021

The sVo logo fades on and then off of a black screen before ‘Venom’ by Eminem hits and the opening video package for ‘Against All Odds’ begins to play, featuring classic action with highlights from the likes of Psyko Stevo, Bobby Dean, Anthony Moretti, Roscoe Shame, William Vorheez, Nathan Paradine, JVD & Night.

As the package begins to come to an end, the live camera shows a shot of the outside of the Goodfellas Casino, sitting on the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before heading inside and panning around the sold-out Goodfellas Casino Arena. Fireworks begin to shoot up from the top of the entrance ramp as fans jump out at the camera trying to get their face on TV as the atmosphere for tonight’s show continues to build, with the music playing over the arena’s sound system.

The camera swings around to see the commentary team of Julian Fiasco & Jeremiah Sloan sitting at ringside, before turning to show the giant screen at the top of the entrance ramp as some of the matchups for tonight’s show are shown.

Tune Up

The cameras head backstage to the Blood Money locker room where Anthony Moretti, Money Malone, Joe Barone, JVD and Lucy Von Drake are looking very pleased with themselves as they watch last weeks main event on a loop on the near by TV. Moretti has the TV remote in hand and seems to take great delight as he rewinds the replay and watches it again.

Anthony Moretti: “Look, Look. I think you can tell the exact moment that JD James breaks his leg right here!”

Moretti laughs as he watches the leg break on reply again.

Money Malone: “It almost makes Organised Chaos a non contest, five on four? Forget about it!”

Moretti nods his head in agreement as he rewinds the main event and watches again.

Anthony Moretti: “Damn straight! Especially as we put the word out that anyone in the locker room that takes JD’s place will suffer the same fate! Still, I have got us a few warm up matches to keep us sharp tonight and next week before the big event. James, me and you are up tonight buddy.”

JVD looks a little surprised having taken part in the main event last week.

JVD: “Who we fighting tonight?”

Anthony Moretti: “Well we both got nice little warm up matches. I am taking on Dale Norman in singles action….”

The rest of the group laugh at the prospect of the winless rookie having to face the former sVo Champion.

Anthony Moretti: “… and you have a nice tune up against Darwin Jones.”

The laughter stops as all eyes turn to JVD who looks shocked that his ‘tune up match’ is against the 6’8” Tag Team Champion who has yet to be pinned or submitted.

Anthony Moretti: “Listen, listen, I think you can actually hear JD’s bone snap!”

The scene fades out as Moretti smiles at the TV screen, whilst all other Blood Money members stare at JVD who is contemplating his match which will take place later on tonight!

sVo Championship Match
William Vorheez (c) vs. Scott Washington

The fans are on their feet as ‘California Vacation’ by The Game hits the sound system and the lights in the arena dim. Golden sparks rain down from the top of the giant screen onto the entrance ramp as Scott Washington step through them and holds his arms in the air. The huge ‘O-Town Outlaw’ taunts to the crowd who boo loudly as he walks down the entrance ramp with his eyes focused on the ring. Scott Washington jumps up onto the ring apron before climbing into the ring and warming up in the corner of the ring for his upcoming battle.

The arena goes pitch black as the opening guitar riff from “Abominator” by Doyle plays. Smoke billows up from the bottom of the staging area, as green laser lights dance across the stage. Just as the opening riff comes to a close, two large hits of a drum can be heard, and pyro goes off syncing with them. The song dives in, as Vorheez makes his appearance at the top of the ramp. Wearing a long black, sleeveless coat, that has green stitching and it covered in small spikes, as well as a black, beat up, cowboy hat covering his eyes. Vorheez marches slowly down to the ring, his eyes fixated on the ring, looking determined, and focused. As Vorheez climbs onto the ring apron and climbs inside the ring the lights slowly come up and the music fades, Vorheez undoes his jacket and reveals the old sVo Championship underneath. Removing the belt he lifts it high in the air showing that he is the real reigning sVo Champion.

Vorheez hands the sVo Championship belt over to the referee who holds it in the air to signal that it will be on the line in tonight’s match! Vorheez and Washington stare at the belt as the referee hands it to Natasha Ortiz on the outside of the ring, before calling for the bell to be rung and the match to get started!

Ding, Ding, Ding!

Vorheez and Washington burst forward and the two 6’4” heavyweights lay into each other with some big right hands! The fans watch as the punches go back and forth between the two fighters, before Washington cuts off Vorheez with a knee to the midsection, before throwing him down to the mat with a belly to back suplex! The fans boo the move from Washington, but Vorheez gets straight back to his feet and knocks down Washington with a big boot to the face! Washington rises up to his feet, but Vorheez grabs him by the arm and shoots him into the ropes. Vorheez bounces into the opposite ropes himself, before landing a big clothesline on Washington as they meet in the middle!

Vorheez rises up to his feet and taunts to the crowd, the Las Vegas crowd roaring in appreciation of the sVo Champion. Vorheez grabs hold of Washington and pulls him to a standing position, but Washington cuts him off with some punches to the midsection. The punches stun Vorheez, allowing Washington the chance to get to his feet and cut Vorheez off with a big headbutt. The head butt causes Vorheez to be unsteady on his feet, and Washington follows up with a kicking combo on Vorheez, before taking him down with a rolling arm bar takedown! Washington pulls back on the arm of Vorheez to try and get the submission victory, but Vorheez quickly uses his long frame to reach the bottom rope with his legs.

Vorheez staggers back up to his feet, but Washington is straight back on him with a punching combo followed up with a waist lock takedown. Washington begins to pound Vorheez with mounted punches, but Vorheez rolls Washington over and lands some mounted punches of his own!

Both men struggle to their feet, and Vorheez lands some big right hands to the face of Washington. Washington staggers backwards, and Vorheez follows up with a massive Double Arm DDT to drop the challenger on his head! The fans cheer as Vorheez makes the cover.

One,

Vorheez pulls Washington up to his feet and looks for the ‘Wrath of Vorheez’, however Washington counters with a back body drop on Vorheez, before landing a shoulder breaker on the Champion! Vorheez holds his arm in pain as he staggers up to his feet, but Washington cuts him off again with a high knee strike! Vorheez looks like he might be out on his feet from the knee strike as Washington closes in on the sVo Championship! Washington aims a spinning heel kick in the direction of Vorheez, but Vorheez ducks at the very last second and Washington wipes out the referee!

The referee is out cold after the strike from Washington, as Vorheez looks to take advantage by attacking Washington from behind and locking in a rear naked choke! However Washington fights his way out before losing consciousness with some back elbow strikes, before taking down Vorheez with go behind followed by a German suplex! Washington rises up to his feet and taunts for the end of the match before waiting for Vorheez to get to his feet! Vorheez slowly rises up, and Washington looks for the ‘Payday’! However Vorheez sees the move coming and ducks out of the way before nailing the ‘Wrath of Vorheez’! The fans pop as Vorheez wastes no time in making the cover!

However, the referee is still down!

The fans boo loudly until all eyes turn to the top of the entrance ramp as a referee runs down towards the ring, closely followed by Amy Page! The referee dives into the ring to make the count!

One,

Two,

Just as the referee’s hand is about to slap the mat for the three, they are pulled clean out of the ring by the legs by Amy Page!

The fans boo loudly as the referee gets to his feet wondering what is going on, only for Amy Page to clock him with a big right hand and send him down!

In the ring William Vorheez looks furious as with Washington’s shoulders still down he should have had this match won two times over! Vorheez rises up to his feet and walks to the side of the ring nearest Amy Page, before reaching over the top rope and grabbing her by the hair! The fans cheer as Vorheez pulls the struggling Amy Page up onto the ring apron by her hair, but before the sVo Champion can do anything to his former manager, Scott Washington attacks him from behind with a low blow!

The fans boo loudly as Vorheez sinks to his knees, before Washington pulls him up to his feet and lands the ‘Payday’! Washington makes the cover on Vorheez as Amy Page grabs hold of the arm of the first downed referee and uses it to make the count!

One, Two, Three!

The fans boo loudly at the fastest of all fast counts from the knocked out referee courtesy of Amy Page, as confusion reigns around ringside! Amy Page marches over to the time keepers area and demands that the bell is rung, before grabbing the sVo Championship belt from Natasha Ortiz! Amy Page demands that Ortiz announce the new Champion before she climbs back into the ring and presents Washington with the sVo Championship, before raising his arm in the air in victory!

The fans boo loudly as Washington holds the sVo Championship in the air in victory with a title change in the opening match of the night!

Winner via pinfall & NEW sVo Champion: Scott Washington

The Fifth Man Pt.1

After the shocking sVo Championship change, the cameras head backstage to the ‘Horizon’ locker room where the sVo Tag Team Champions are sitting in angry silence, as Johnny All Star paces back and forth. The three men must be the only ones in the building not to have watched the big title match, however they have pressing concerns of their own.

Johnny All Star: “Where the hell is Gunner? We are at defcon 5 around here with JD being taken out! We need to hit back! Either of you two seen him?”

Hugo Ryzing and Darwin Jones look at each other and shrug, clearly not too interested in getting involved in the brewing animosity between Lang and All Star. Johnny All Star continues to pace back and forth before as if on que, the locker room door opens and in walks Gunner Lang with a scrawny kid by his side.

Gunner Lang: “Boys, how are we?”

Lang noncinantly tosses the sVo Las Vegas Championship belts onto one of the empty leather sofas, but All Star steps across him.

Johnny All Star: “Where the hell have you been? Who the hell is this?”

Lang doesn’t look too impressed with All Star stepping to him, as he steps forward to get into the face of the sVo legend.

Gunner Lang: “With JD out we need a leader around here, and that Las Vegas Championship means I have to step up. That is why I have gone out and got the replacement for JD in the Organised Chaos match! Guys, meet Flip Dixon, my son!”

Dixon high fives Ryzing and Jones, but All Star leaves the youngster hanging.

Johnny All Star: “Wait, no way are you the leader without JD. It’s me that has to step up. I have been here since day one, hell it was JD and ME who brought you guys into the sVo. I will find ourselves a replacement for the Organised Chaos match, and it sure as hell won’t be some family member!”

Gunner Lang: “Well… We know that because your family will be on the opposite side of the ring.”

All Star angrily stares back at Gunner, pissed about the shot at Moretti being his half brother.

Gunner Lang: “And don’t worry about Flip, he can handle himself in the ring. He has been training in the sVo developmental leagues.”

All Star scoffs.

Johnny All Star: “He doesn’t look like he could fight his way out of a paper bag! Tell you what, how about he goes one on one with me later tonight. If he can put up half a decent showing then maybe… maybe he can be part of the team.”

Flip Dixon looks up for the match that could be his big break.

Gunner Lang: “Johnny, it’s not you that decides… but sure Flip can kick your ass tonight, show you just how good he is…”

Lang and All Star stare each other out, the tension simmering in the Horizon locker room as the scene fades out!

Absolute Zero looks in pain on the mat, but Nathan Judge is quickly on his opponent as he grabs him and locks on a side headlock to wear down his opponent.

The fans try and get behind Absolute Zero, and he responses by working his way up to a standing position before freeing himself with some back elbow strikes to the ribs of Judge. The fans boo loudly as Judge instead drags Absolute Zero back up to his feet again, before landing another ‘Judgement Day’ on his defeated opponent for good measure!

The fans boo loudly as Judge stands over Absolute Zero with a smug smile on his face, a point well made.

Not On My Watch Pt.1

The cameras head backstage where the new sVo Champion Scott Washington is already getting his promotional shots taken with his newly won gold. Washington poses with the belt for the photographers against the green screen, whilst Amy Page and Yoshi Ono stand proudly just off of camera.

Washington continues to pose with the belt for the photographs, but suddenly there is a commotion as the black suited figure of sVo Owner Jon Page strides in front of the photographers and snatches the belt off of the shoulder of the unsuspecting Scott Washington! Washington and Ono spring forward ready to attack, only for Amy Page to stop them. Amy Page then angrily turns to face her brother herself.

Amy Page: “What the hell is going on?”

Jon Page: “If you think a title change is happening like that on one of my shows then forget about it! This belt is supposed to be the most prized possession in the business, I won’t have its reputation sullied like this!”

Washington and Ono look like they are happy to beat down the boss themselves, but Amy Page waves them off.

Amy Page: “Scott had Vorheez down for the three count, he won the belt and that’s that! It will be Yoshi vs. Scott at the PPV for the title!”

Jon Page shakes his head as he begins to walk away, title in hand.

Jon Page: “The three wasn’t counted by a licenced official and the bell wasnt signalled by a licensed official. As far as I am concerned the match isn’t finished and there hasn’t been a title change yet. You can finish this match off later tonight if you want a shot at winning this belt fair and square…. But I see anyone at ringside who isn’t in the match or an official then Ono is out of the PPV main event!”

The sVo Owner walks away with the gold leaving Amy, Washington and Ono fuming behind him.

Flip Dixon gives the referee the thumbs up as he staggers to his feet, but Johnny All Star quickly follows up with a Lui Thesz press before landing some mounted punches on Dixon.

Some of the Las Vegas crowd are now vocally booing Johnny All Star as he continues the vicious attack on Flip Dixon, but All Star looks focused only on the match as he allows Flip Dixon to his feet, before landing the ‘Touchdown’! The cameras head backstage where an angry looking William Vorheez is sitting on his own, still stewing about losing the sVo Championship in the main event of the evening in controversial circumstances. Vorheez looks up as the locker room swings open, for Jon Page to stride in with the sVo Championship gold in his hand.

Vorheez looks confused as Page throws the belt to Vorheez.

Jon Page: “Until a licenced official declares that this has changed hands this is still yours.”

Vorheez looks at the belt in his hand for a good few seconds, before looking back at Page.

Jon Page: “But the match isn’t over yet, so you have to finish it off…. TONIGHT!”

Vorheez looks pleased with the decision, as he nods his head whilst looking down at the gold. Page turns to leave the room, before having a second thought and turning back to face Vorheez and deliver a parting comment.

Jon Page: “You see this is really why I said you need some back up out there…. The sVo is a jungle right now and you can’t go it alone.”

Vorheez stares back emotionless, as Page leaves the room and the scene fades out.

After a few seconds, James Von Drake walks out from behind the curtain and onto the top of the ramp, with his wife Lucy Von Drake as always by his side. JVD signals to the crowd before walking down to the ring and sliding in. JVD holds his arms in the air in the middle of the ring as Lucy Von Drake stands outside the ring clapping on her husband.

The arena lights dim as the V-Tron goes dark and several different colored gases start swirling in the middle. As the gases swirl faster the arena is rocked with an explosion from the V-Tron and pyro exploding from the ramp. The swirling gases are replaced by a spinning earth and ‘Evolution’ by Clawfinger fills the arena. The earth continues to spin as pictures of mankind’s greatest accomplishments and tragedies emanate from the spinning globe.

The fans cheer loudly for the move from Darwin Jones, but JVD quickly rolls to the outside of the ring whilst holding his back in pain to stop Darwin Jones from getting his hands on him.

The fans boo the actions of JVD, but Darwin Jones wastes no time in dropping down and rolling out of the ring himself to give chase! JVD runs from Darwin Jones, but before Jones can catch up to his opponent Lucy Von Drake steps and blocks his way. Darwin Jones looks reluctant to lay a hand on Lucy Von Drake despite her being one of his opponents in the upcoming Organised Chaos match at Roll the Dice, but Lucy Von Drake stands trash talking the Tag Team Champion!

The fans seem to be willing Darwin Jones on to take out Lucy Von Drake as she continues her verbal assault, but with Darwin Jones distracted by his wife, JVD runs around the ringside area and grabs Darwin Jones from behind before running him face first into the steel ring post! Darwin Jones stands in the middle of the ring with both of the Von Drake’s laying across his shoulders, before landing a massive double ‘Big Bang Theory’ in the middle of the ring! The fans pop for the amazing site, as Darwin Jones makes the cover!

One,

Gunner Lang: “What the hell was that! You tried to injure my boy out there!”

Johnny All Star: “Grow up Gunner, if he you want him to be part of Organised Chaos he would have to put up with a lot more than that from Blood Money. He obviously isn’t capable… seems to run in the family!”

It looks like All Star and Lang are about to come to blows despite the best efforts of Hugo Ryzing to keep them apart, until the door suddenly swings open and in wheels JD James in a wheelchair! JD James has his leg up in a cast but doesn’t look at all happy.

JD James: “What the hell is going on here?”

Gunner and Johnny immediately turn to face JD James like naughty children, as Hugo Ryzing shrugs his shoulders.

Gunner Lang: “Hey JD. We didn’t expect to see you here tonight….”

JD James: “You expect a broken leg to keep me away? Now I asked a question…. Spill!”

Johnny All Star: “Well Gunner brought his kid in here from developmental thinking he can take your place in the Organised Chaos match and is now crying about me showing him up out there.”

JD James nods to Flip Dixon who nods back, before he turns to face Gunner and Johnny.

JD James: “Well welcome to the big leagues Flip, but I am afraid I already have someone lined up to take my place in the Organised Chaos match at Roll the Dice. Stick around though and I am sure we can make sure you get your chance here in the sVo!”

Flip nods back in disappointment, as Gunner & Johnny both look confused.

Gunner Lang: “Wait, you already have someone? Who is the fifth man?”

JD James smirks back as the scene fades out.
