The return to the sVo had been a pretty successful one for me. Page’s face when I rocked up at the start of the show was one hell of a picture, that limey bastard had obviously forgot about the iron clad contract that my old man had managed to sign me into before Page forced him out of the company. I knew that Page would try every trick in the book to get me out of the sVo so that he could have his golden goose ‘Moretti’ free, however I didn’t think that he would start the festivities on the very first show.
A mystery opponent is something that I could have maybe foreseen, however I certainly didn’t think that he would underestimate me enough to chuck me in against a rookie like Dallas Jordan! What the hell was he thinking?
The masked man attacking me from behind was a classic Page tactic though. I remember back in the day when the sVo was in the hands of the ‘Company’ that Page used to skulk around with a mask on trying to gain some support to win the federation back. The only way I knew it wasn’t Page who attacked me after the match was that there were witnesses placing him backstage at the time of the attack.
No matter how many masked men Page sent my way, there was nothing that he could do to stop me sticking it out in the sVo and winning that sVo Championship. Maybe I was too young and inexperienced the last time I got my shot against Psyko Stevo in 2008, however this time there wasn’t anyone that could stop me holding the gold!
The sVo had started up as a 50/50 venture between Page and my father, but with the old man now in jail Page had stolen the 50% away from my family. There wasn’t a huge amount I could do about that now, however I could become the sVo Champion and make his life a living hell and make him regret his decisions to cross my family, something that he would regret forever! That fact would forever be my motivation, no matter how many of his henchmen that Page would send my way.
Page however isn’t the only person in the sVo that I go way back with, the other person is sitting at the commentary table. Johnny All Star might technically be my half brother by blood, but he would never be considered part of the family. The fact that his little buddy JD James said in commentary that I deserved what I got when the masked man attacked would be something that I wouldn’t be able to just let slide…..
