Character Bio:
Once upon a time, Matt Thornhill was “The Natural”, a can’t-miss youngster with phenomenal talent and an unrivaled drive to be the best. After a long, hard climb to the top, Thornhill reached the pinnacle of his sport, winning multiple titles with the Championship Wrestling Federation, the top organization of it’s day. Thornhill’s time at the top was short-lived, as a rival in the organization, jealous of Thornhill’s meteoric rise to fame, ran Thornhill down in the now-infamous Dodge Ram, ripping his right leg to shreds and threatening his life, as well as his career. Thornhill rehabbed long and hard, eventually making a short-lived (and ill-advised) comeback attempt. Not finding nearly the level of success (or mobility) in the ring, Matt Thornhill, frustrated his body would no longer do what it was capable of, retired at the age of 26.

That was in 2003.

Now 31, and as healed as his body will ever be again, Thornhill strives to — one more time — reach the mountaintop…to win championship gold in the one arena he’s loved, and lived for, his entire life.

Professional wrestling is in his blood. It’s only natural he be in professional wrestling one more time.

Entrance Description:
“Kashmir” hits the PA as the lights dim in the arena. Matt Thornhill steps out onto the entrance ramp, lights flashing around him to the rhythm of the bassline in the song. Thornhill looks around, soaking in the atmosphere being created by the sold-out crowd cheering him on. Satisfied, Thornhill begins down the aisleway, slowly and deliberately focused squarely on the ring in front of him. Thornhill stops midway down, looking around, before sprinting the remainder of the way and sliding in, immediately getting to his feet and climbing a turnbuckle.

"Did I come back so that I could finally be able to realize my dream of being the sVo Champion? HELL YES!!! There are so many more reasons why I came back, but to make a long story short, I came back because I wanted to come back home. And boy does it feel good to be back!"
