Biography: Jonathan Sinclair is quite literally a product of the seedy underbelly of the professional wrestling business. The bastard son of a longtime journeyman wrestler and a ring rat, Sinclair spent the majority of his youth attempting to earn the respect of his largely absent and distant father. Following in his footsteps, Jon pursued a career as a wrestler from a young age. His father, ever the sadist, “helped” get him set up to compete in Japan. While in Japan, he was heavily involved in death match style contests and presently has the scars to show for it. He developed a reputation for being a tenacious brawler that was willing–even eager–to hurt himself in order to hurt his opponent. It also became clear that he was willing to lie, manipulate, and cheat his way to success both in and out of the ring. He has developed a keen sense of how to bend and influence those around to him toward his aims, seemingly always running a con. He is a well-traveled grifter with few if any moral principles. Sinclair takes pride in his less-than-desirable traits, seeing himself as an exemplar of the real wrestling business: not the flashy and heavily polished television product, but rather the traveling carnival show of miscreants. Fittingly, he adopted the moniker Carny Sinclair early in his career.
